Membership In WU Alumni Club

Thank you for your interest in the WU Alumni Club! Please read on to find out more about membership options.

We would be pleased if you're joining us soon!

Types Of Membership

There are three types of membership: full, non-active and sponsoring members. All these members have to be holders of academic degrees conferred by the WU or the former 'Hochschule für Welthandel'. The Board shall appoint honorary members when it wishes to honour their contributions. It is not compulsory that these honorary members have studied at the WU or the former 'Hochschule für Welthandel'. Full, sponsoring and honorary members shall have voting rights in the general meeting.

Full Members

Full members enjoy all the services the WU Alumni Club offers and pay an annual membership fee of 45 Euro. For more information on our services go to our Membership Benefits.

Non-Active Members

Non-active members in particular are those who live and work abroad. They are not required to pay any membership fee for the duration of their stay abroad, but they only have limited access to the services of the WU Alumni Club.

Sponsoring Members

Members who want to support the WU Alumni Club beyond the annual membership fee of 45 Euro are very welcome. Aside from official sponsoring you can register for a sponsoring membership. The membership fee for sponsoring members is 450 Euro. It goes without saying that sponsoring members are entitled to attend all events, including the WU Alumni Party, free of charge and receive two tickets for the "WU Ball" as well. In addition, their participation in all WU Alumni Club events is guaranteed, even if the limit is already exceeded.

We are looking forward to welcoming you as a member!

End Of Membership

Resignation

Any member may resign his/her membership by notifying the general manager in writing, but will be expected to hand in his/her resignation at least six weeks prior to the end of the (current) year when such resignation shall be effective. By not giving notice in due time, the resignation becomes effective at the next possible date. Non-payment of the annual dues does not classify as resignation!!

Expulsion

The general manager may expel any member that is more than six months in arrears with payment of the annual dues despite a threefold written reminder. The obligation to pay the annual dues remains unaffected.
